Consultation
The surgeon examines the patient’s hair loss case and determines the best approach. Factors such as the cause and type of hair loss, the probability of future hair loss, the patient’s hair type and expectations, age, gender, and medical history are considered during the consultation. The surgeon draws the hairline based on the patient’s natural hairline and preferences and evaluates the donor and recipient areas to determine the number of grafts needed. Pre-operative tests are conducted, and the patient’s medical history is reviewed.
Local Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is administered to numb the scalp before extraction, during which the surgeon extracts the hair follicles.
Extraction
Hair follicles are extracted individually from the donor area using a micromotor.
Implantation
The extracted hair follicles are implanted directly into the recipient area using the CHOI pen. This technique allows for greater control and precision over each hair follicle’s angle, depth, and placement. Unlike FUE, there is no incision process in DHI. By using Choi Pen, our surgeons can open canals and implant hair follicles simultaneously.
