The patient exhibited a reduction in hair density, particularly in the frontal scalp and crown. The straight texture of his hair had made the thinning more apparent. The patient expressed significant concern over the accelerated rate of hair loss and its impact on his psychosocial well-being, motivating him to seek a permanent solution with a hair transplant in Turkey.

Solution

Following the clinical evaluation, the Follicular Unit Extraction(FUE) seemed the preferable option for this case. With this method, grafts are harvested without damaging the donor area. Among other methods of hair loss restoration, FUE stands out as it allows for the extraction of individual follicular units.

In this case, a total of 4200 grafts were harvested from the donor area. The extensive balding area necessitated a meticulous approach to graft placement, particularly in the frontal hairline and vertex regions, to achieve natural-looking density and coverage. The patient’s straight and thin hair type required careful attention to the direction and angulation of graft placement to maintain a consistent and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Given the patient’s thin hair structure, a comprehensive post-operative care plan was implemented to optimize the results. In addition to standard post-operative care, which included anti-inflammatory medications, topical antibiotics to prevent infection, and detailed wound care instructions, the patient was advised to use a specialized hair supplement regimen. This regimen included our clinically proven hair supplement products designed to strengthen hair follicles, improve hair density, and support healthy regrowth.

The patient was also informed about the expected timeline for graft shedding and regrowth, with final results anticipated within 12 to 18 months. This holistic approach, combining advanced surgical techniques with targeted post-operative care and supplementation, effectively addressed the patient’s significant androgenetic alopecia, restoring hair density and improving scalp aesthetics.
