Problem
Tahsin had been experiencing significant hair loss in the frontal and vertex regions as a usual sign of Norwood Scale 4-5. Before his visit to Turkey, he had undergone two FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) operations in the UK. However, these procedures were not successful enough to meet his needs. In order to improve the results he’d had, he started looking for a more advanced and precise approach.
Solution
To solve this problem, the DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) technique was chosen for its precision and ability to create natural-looking results, especially in patients with previous scarring. His donor area had good density, which yielded 3200 grafts. These grafts were then implanted into the thinning regions of his frontal hairline and crown. Using the DHI method, surgeons can implant the follicles directly into the scalp, which makes it easier to cover the previous FUT scars.
In the next step, the patient moved on to stem cell therapy to enhance the results and promote faster healing.
