A fantastic experience from the start to finish. It was my second hair transplant and I realised what good hands I was in instantly. Painless and a great experience

I am leaving this review voluntarily and am not receiving any form of incentive for doing so, I simply would like to share my experience of MCAN.

In February 2024 I visited the MCAN clinic where I had a 3000 graft FUE hair transplant as well as a Botox and filler treatment for my very deep permanent frown lines. For context I am 30M but felt like my hairline and angry face were not positive features and hence were something I made the decision to resolve surgically.

I explained to my consultants at MCAN of the great psychological disturbance I was experiencing daily as the result of the way I felt I looked. Making it worse, I also felt ashamed of how I was allowing my looks to bother me. But every person at the MCAN treated me very very kindly and I felt understood. I was reassured before and after my procedures that I was not as ugly as I felt I was and there was definitely no pressure to have either procedure done. But once I confirmed by decisions, both processes were delivered with great expertise and attention to detail.
I received comprehensive advice regarding the design of my new hairline and we were able to together draw one that we were all happy with. My lead technician was careful to explain that the HT could not overlap with my forehead muscles but also was able to bring my new hairline much lower than it originally was. This is of significance as I have genetically always had a high hairline even as a child and was often ridiculed for it.

The HT process was very long (7 hours I think, however I wasn’t timing it) but I was given frequent breaks and snacks by the staff and I felt very well looked after throughout. It is normal I believe for any HT to take this amount of time. The really nice thing about MCAN is that I felt that they really cared about getting a good result for me and I was treated like a member of the family, which was a very unexpected but much appreciated bonus.

Hilal (who I believe is the manager of the clinic) has been great at keeping in very regular contact with me both before and after my procedures and has been able to answer all my questions and give clear instructions relating to the aftercare. She was able to arrange my frown line treatment at short notice and clearly explained the costs and types of procedure that would work best seeing as I was going to have it the same day as my HT. Hilal frequently came to see me as I was undergoing my procedures to see how I was doing. It really was so nice to be looked after as much as I was at MCAN.

My team of HT technicians were absolutely amazing. Very fun people I was delighted to spend the day with. They all spoke very good English which was nice as being able to chat to them helped pass the time and manage the anxiety of the situation. Technically I can’t fault them. My grafts to the transplanted area have been spaced out with a really nice tight density that is almost as tight as other parts of my head (something that I don’t always see in other peoples HTs). My technician also subtly zigzagged the hairline itself which I hope will give it a more natural look once the hair begins to grow. I really admire the level of artistry in my technicians as the aesthetic of the final result goes so far beyond price and number of grafts which I feel are the only things most people care about when having their HTs. The HT procedure was delivered smoothly and without any complications. After the anaesthetic injections were delivered I felt no pain with the follicles were repositioned, nor did I have any other unpleasant side effects other than some swelling (which is very normal).

My facial fillers and Botox technician was similarly very professional and kind and was able to design a solution for me based on the exact problem I was having. I nearly cried when I saw that my permanent frown lines were at last gone as for me they were a permanent reminder of years of past mental illness that I have since recovered from. Her treatment room was really nice and the process was finished within about half an hour. Again I received very clear instructions about how to manage the Botox over the next 24 hours and have not suffered from any complications from it.

My driver was also excellent. He was ready at the airport as soon as I landed and was directed to the car by the GM taxi concierge. He drove me to Cher Hotel safely and the whole travel element of my trip was very well managed. This matters because any kind of surgery is going to be stressful so it really makes a difference not having to worry about the travel and admin side. After my final checkup I was driven back to the airport in plenty of time for my flight and he was great at making sure I didn’t bash my head as I was getting in and out of the car!

Cher Hotel was clean and tidy and the reception staff were polite and helpful.

I've felt very safe during the whole experience. I received both rhinoplasty and hair transplant. I received many check ups after the operations and even after I arrived home after 10 days. I live in a Scandinavian country where we have access to state of the art treatments. The operation room here, was more modern and newer than in my own country. Which was impressive.

I had been suffering from male pattern baldness for nearly 10 years and over that time it had been affecting the way I feel about myself. Let’s face it, none of us want to get old and for most of us, we do not want the appearance that old age has to offer!

I had carried out a fair amount of research in to FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) before choosing a surgery that I felt comfortable with.

These were my thoughts….
1. Hmm... do I really want to fly to a foreign country for a medical procedure?
2. How do I choose the correct clinic?
3. Will I be happy with their Hair Transplant practice?
4. Is there going to be an issue with the language barrier?
5. Where will I be staying?
6. How will I travel in Turkey?
7. Where do I eat?
8. Will I be safe?
9. Who will manage my medical procedure?
10. Will there be any aftercare?

I decided to contact MCAN, Turkey.

My enquiry into a Hair Transplant Procedure with MCAN was acknowledge by their patient relationship specialist Aykut and it was a pleasure to deal with him. Aykut answered all my questions, along with offering the reassurance that I needed.
Once I was happy to proceed with MCAN for a hair transplant operation, I paid a 250 Euro secured deposit.

What did I do next….?
Flight to Turkey Booked.
Airport parking Booked.
Arranged payment for the Hair transplant procedure.
Arranged Medical Travel Insurance.
Passport check

With my trip to Turkey booked, I stayed in contact with Aykut, asking various questions relating to my visit, along with the procedure. Aykut would always quickly respond to all my messages.

A couple of days before my trip to Turkey I was contacted by Elif, patient specialist.
Elif looked after me once I had arrived in Turkey, any questions Elif would be there to answer them and support me on my brief visit to Turkey. Very approachable and easy to talk with and reassuring.

Now I have landed in Turkey, the MCAN driver had contacted me beforehand to confirm that he would be waiting for me at the airport terminal, yes, he was. The driver was great.

I had arrived at my Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. I had a bite to eat before heading to bed. (Late flight)

Day of the Hair transplant procedure.
Breakfast at 8am. Then I was collected from the hotel at 8:30am and taken to the clinic, I was then greeted by the Medical Team at MCAN.
Everything ran smoothly, the team were extremely professional, and the clinic was extremely clean and hygienic.

A few light scratches to the donor area of my head before the process started on the removal of hair follicles. (I did not feel a thing)

Lunch provided by MCAN

Hair Implant Time.
A few light scratches to numb the area, then the hair was implanted.

After surgery.
Head was cleaned then bandages applied to keep the area clean.

MCAN driver then returned me to the Hotel where I had a bite to eat and chilled out watching a movie.

Next Day.
Collected by the driver to head back to MCAN for a post op check-up. Everything was looking great.
Once the medical team were happy, I was taken to the Airport for my journey home, back to the UK.

Back in the UK.
I have had regular aftercare contact from Elif and I have also booked myself another visit to MCAN, Turkey for a third procedure.

Ladies and Gents, the reason
I am going back for number 3 hair transplant is that these skilful people will not ‘butcher your head/hair’ In 1 round!
Please believe me, There are plenty of other hair transplant clinics out there that just want to ‘rip’ your hair from the donor area and stick it in where it is required. - quick job, out and in with no consideration or thoughts to the patient.
This could potentially result in over harvesting, which would lead to excessive scaring, including bold patches.

Please, Ladies and Gents, there is nothing for you to be afraid off, just do it and enjoy the hair growth once again in those thinning area’s

Going for surgery is always scary no matter what or where it is, but honestly the MCAN team made everything so easy that all I had to do was focus on healing, they handled everything else. Their communication was brilliant even before I flew out, making sure they sent me pictures and contact details for anyone I would come into contact with, sending my medical forms in English so I could review them since they would be in Turkish at the hospital, sending me videos of exactly how to exit the airport so I could find them and didn’t get lost, updating me with a times of when I would be picked up for appointments etc. I couldn’t fault it at all.
Once I arrived and had my operation, Our nurses l took care of me, visiting me everyday in the hotel to check everything over and putting me at ease. My nurse even answered my calls and questions late at night when I was worrying and has kept supporting me since I got back to the UK. The nurse was there with my driver to pick me up on the morning of my operation, helped me check into the hotel and helped to translate everything for me and stayed with me right up until I went to theatre. She was also there for my checkups and to help me pick up my prescriptions which was incredibly helpful.
They were both amazing and are assets to MCAN.
Arda was my care coordinator and he was wonderful too, he sorted everything from my hotel stay to my airport transfers to my quotes for surgery, making sure to send me information before I even thought to ask for it. It made everything just so smooth.

I had an amazing experience with the Mcan Health team, was an easy process to get information thanks to Seyma at first, she was available at any time for any of my questions.
Then I had an extraordinary care from nurses, especially my nurse to check on me on daily basis and help me around.
I had Lipo 360 + BBL done by Dr Dundar, perfect results and so happy with my new body.

as a canadian I've never done cosmetic surgery tourism before. i felt confident and assured of my choice with this company from start to finish. logistically once you get the hang of procedures, and with google translate when your nurse isn't around, trip was pretty smooth. i had rhino + bleph together. hospital room was private and nursing staff very attentive. what i found the most helpful with my consult with dr fatih ceran is that i had a collection of pictures showing the exact result i wanted to avoid any confusion - he was able to determine exactly what i wanted and assured me it was achievable, and he delivered. nurses and drivers are all very polite. same with hotel staff service was prompt. am already seeing outline of new shape before bandages come off, am excited for my results in the coming weeks as swelling continues to come down. oh and do yourself a favour and dont refuse your iv pain meds on the basis of trying to tough it out - that will lead to no good. i recommend bringing more turkish lira than euro for spending money at restaurants and vendors however credit card is accepted at many establishments i visited. felt quite safe going around despite the chaotic nature of the city. you have to hail your own cabs and negotiate your fare and sometimes get turned down depending where youre going, uber doesnt regular fare doesnt really work, but i found out uber black called a car promptly if you cant find a local yellow taxi. crowds and hilly streets and terrain could be a hazard for healing so i would advise good walking shoes too. would recommend to any foreigners coming to turkey for a surgical clinic.

I was recommended by a friend to MCAN Health with a WhatsApp number to get a quote on surgery. I was unsure at first because it’s scary booking over text but I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I arrived in turkey and was looked after as soon as I arrived at the airport I was drove around to blood tests, check ups, hotels and always had support when I needed.

A special shout out to my surgeon Dr Dogan Alhan who did my ear pinning, chin rasping and breast implants all in one surgery with fantastic results immediately. I spent 2 nights in hospital the nurses were available to me 24 hours a day with medication and support with anything.

After day 5 I’m so impressed with it all and can’t believe how my breast look compared to when I had used a UK surgeon. In the UK I was forced out the Transform hospital in Harleys Street than I could imagine.

I am really happy I made the decision to go and have my insecurities changed, I will recommend MCAN health to anyone considering surgery.

My patient assistant was absolutely fantastic, she helped me through the nerves and dealt with everything for me. She acted as a good friend to me, visited my hotel daily to check up and said goodbye. She is very good at her job and I am grateful to have met her!

For 9 years I suffer from too large breasts. I have always known neck, back and shoulder complaints. In the Netherlands it was difficult to have a breast reduction because I had a too high BMI. I weighed 90 kg and am 1.65 m.

I had to look for another solution to have surgery anyway. also
because I am getting married in May 2022. I came across a lot on google, including MCAN. First searched through social media channels. I couldn't find much on facebook and on instagram I read bad things. I decided to message them anyway. I got a reply so fast I thought it was fake. In retrospect I understand that
just the good service they provide. I
could ask my questions on whatsapp. The surgeon's work and his instagram were shared. At first I thought the surgeon had too few followers to find out later that he was seriously the best choice I've ever made.

I could always contact MCAN with my questions. I felt heard and seen. Everything I asked for was picked up, there are not empty promises that you often hear about.

The day of my surgery I was very anxious, they tried very hard to put me at ease. My breasts were a big challenge. Each breast weighed 3kg. The surgeon has listened to my wishes from a cosmetic point of view and absolutely solved the medical problem. I feel
lighter and can sleep well through the night for the first time in years, even though I only slept on my back the last 13 days.

The aftercare was great! every day in the hotel i was visited by a nurse, until the last day. I got two check ups before I left and everything is stated clearly and transparently.

The taxidrivers were also very kind, they provided a big service and always carried your luggage or bags. They helped you to get in the car and even open and closed the door for you.

In general I would 100% recommend MCAN Health for any breast surgery. This was my first and only experience ever with MCAN and I would do it all over again if needed.

The only thing I want to say to people who want to be operated on at MCAN in Turkey is that you also have to use common sense. I was told at the beginning that I could go home after a week, yet I decided to book longer for my own sake. Every person is different, so every body reacts differently to an operation. Take your time for your recovery, the doctor does 50%, you have to take care of the rest. This experience really changed my life in the good way.

So happy wirh my rhinoplasty and breast enlargement results, absolutely world class and minimal swelling probably due to elxwllwnf technique. My surgeon was very well experienced and talented and the nurse, Denize, was very friendly, professional and extremely supportive through the whole process. The drivers were great and always on time, the hotel they put me in was also right next to the centre and I was also able to enjoy a great holiday in Istanbul. No faults whatsoever would recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to come back!

The next day was picked up by driver and taken to MCAN for my second start of my dental treatment
Was greated by all the friendly staff who I had met on my first visit

And was like meeting past friends

The dental surgeon and nurses all made me feel welcome again

The next day I went for my Hair transplant
And again another warm welcome from the hair transplant surgeons
The hair transplant took about 4 to 5 hours
And was straight forward
Hardly any pain at all
Through out my stay there I visited the dentist a few times for my treatment
I had no pain throughout my treatment

I had a complete set of teeth top and bottom implanted
You pick the shade of teeth you like
Before being fitted
I went for the natural look shade of white
And I am very pleased with the outcome
And have had nice compliments when getting back home from Istanbul
